Could someone please help me with some advice?

I would like to get my brother an astrophotography book; however when I look online there is a plethora of books, all claiming to be good. Other than looking at some of the images my brother has taken, I have no idea about astrophotography.

He usually likes to take pictures of nebulas/clusters (?) using a dslr, and has been doing it for about a year. He uses a programme to enhance some of the images also. I would like to get him a book that is useful or has great images.

Could someone recommend a book or two that he might find useful?

I sound like your brother :) and have several astrophotography books. The one I like the best from the description of what you want is Astrophotography by Stefan Seip. It is difficult to get in Australia, I ordered mine online. This is currently the cheapest way to get it http://www.betterworldbooks.com/product-id-1933952164.aspx because of the strong $A.

You had me worried there for a minute - I know he posts on this forum and we are in Perth!! But...he's not a Dr Who fan :)

Thank you for your advice, I had a look at the book and bought it online also.

You are welcome,
because it is hard to get he probably doesn't have it already and I'm sure he will enjoy it. As far as Dr Who goes, there is always hope he may come round

The ones by Jerry Lodriguss come pretty highly recommended at Cloudy Nights forum - http://www.astropix.com/
I haven't got them, but considering it.
