I have recently bought a number of webcams. When installing the included software, it seems that they all expect you to have a copy of AMCap on board. This little program does work for some, but not for others. It doesn't drive the LED lights on some, (Need to turn off), or allow a snap picture function on others. Now, I have searched the web for software for webcams, hoping to find a generic program or programs, that can be used with "Other Webcams", only to find that they either,
1 Want you to buy something unseen and undescribed that you don't know if it will work or not,
2 offer a package that looks different, only to find it is an enclosed or disguised copy of AMCap, which doesn't work,
3 Download a copy of a REGISTRY CHECKER that you don't want,
or 4 Download something that sets of all the bells and whistles of the resident virus checker warning of included disasters.
My question is - Is there a Reputable and checked site where I could find suitable cam software?
 :confused2:
