Spider and Hoverfly

Caught this lynx spider with quite a catch on the weekend. I had just given up chasing a flying version of the hoverfly when I looked down and noticed the flash of yellow from the spider. On closer inspection I noticed the hoverfly, managing to photograph the two of my favourite insects in the one shot. Bit sad for the hover though :(

Pretty amazing opportunity to get both like that, albeit in not so good an outcome for the fly...the detail is great :thumbsup:

Adam, wait till you get jumpers catching crab spiders etc ;-)

Jumpers are deadly hunters, more so than the Lynx spider here.
