I want to use a remote telescope by an automated computer system and the file to open the drivers is a .drv file and my computer will not open it.
Any ideas on how to open the file?
Thanks
Frank
Not sure if it is meant to be opened?
They're not like .jpg or .mp3 etc.
Never used a .drv file with anything astro related, but when I have come across a .drv file it has usually been the driver itself, that is, an application will look for the .drv so it knows how to control some hardware.
I would try putting the .drv file into the root directory of the control application, it should then find it automatically next it is started?

.drv are device driver files - what device are you trying to setup when you are openng the drv file?
i think normally it is a system task - ie a user does not open a drv file -

Thanks for the advice. I am trying to log onto Skylive. I am slowly working out the system and how to connect it.
