Found this on the Bad Astronomy website. "Where is M13" is a 3d atlas of the galaxy. Haven't downloaded it yet but it looks interesting.

Downloaded it myself found it very nice indeed. Gives a really good perspective on the universe.

Had a quick play with it. Fascinating. Get an appreciation that many of the popular nebulae are really quite close to us, globular clusters seem to be outside the plane of Milky Way, and open clusters are in closer to the plane. Very educational.
