I checked lot's of weather sites and the Camp looks like it is going to be CLEAR'.
To keep track of what the weather will be in Snake Valley:
here is the Weather Channel Site http://www.weatherchannel.com.au/Magic94scripts/mgrqispi94.dll?APPNAME=WC&PRGNAME=WC&LayGroups=&SearchFor=&Function=SuburbForecast&SuburbId=6427&WeatherMaps=0&Leisure+Reports=0
And here is Weatherzone http://www.weatherzone.com.au/local/local.jsp?obs=94852&fcast=94852&img=radar&rad=002&pcode=3350
The weather is supposed to be clearing up from Thursday for 4-5 days!!!!

this is good, as i am trying to draw all the bad stuff down here at the moment.
Even if it the weather is carelessly reckless against persons, then i am sure the camp will be a huge success.
Coming form melbourne Is snake valley, sign posted ie if we follow your map?

No Dave, The only sign in Ballarat to Snake Valley is on a different road. The map shows the easiest and quickest way. You won't get lost, it's too easy to find if you follow the map.
If you get lost (which I doubt) just ring me on my mobile. I have full CDMA coverage. 0418 425 207
I am really amazed at the weather forecast.
It has been Consistantly Raining And Persistantly cloudy for months, but it is going to clear up right when we need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand the weather map! (on Weather Channel Site)
It updates every 10 minutes and yet it is wrong. See map below. The red dot is where I am and it is currently POURING down and we are having a thunderstorm, yet the map shows clear sky here. :confuse3:

Yes, a most intriguing problem that! Bit like here when it says theres no jetstream. Usually turns out to be a load of ......ah...a big fat white lie!!

Apart from the subliminal messages ;) , the forecasters and the radar are always behind, by the time the computers receive the data and process it and upload it to the server and then you get it displayed through a refresh it could be 15-20minutes later. Care and Reasonable Algorithmic Processing will always cloud the judgement :nerd: . I hope all is well for the next 9 days , especially for Mike. He is travelling a long way for good weather and top views!

Dont worry about the rain people, the more you worry the more it will rain.
I can see these coded words will lead to alot more....looks like fun.....lol

pssst, guys.....
when do you reckon the moderators will cotton on with the coded words????
or with ice away, are we the moderators???
i particuliarly liked Geoff's one, that was good.
Got me worried though, Starkler lists a piece of equipment called a "moderator". What does this do and if it is good, can i buy one?
asimov
25-10-2005, 12:15 PM
Well, we'll have to review this piece of equipment @ star camp??
