4 years ago Vodaphone had a special deal for new members where all new people could SMS in their 'SMS club' for free for 3 months. I met my Cheryl in there amongst the thousands. Then we converted to phone calls for a few months then she flew down here so we could meet. The rest is History.

I met my wife when we were 15.

My cousins and I were playing backyard cricket at a party.
She came downstairs and wanted to bat. I was the bowler.

Well she hit me for a SIX as I bowled her out.

Now we almost have our own cricket team.

SO technology has a lot to answer for doesn't it ;) .

My wife let me store few computers at her house on the proviso that she be able to use one. this was whle my parents house was being rebuilt. She had spent 12 hours typing out a thesis to hand in the next day (she is a teacher now ) and the PC froze on her. She rang me and I turned up and spent the next 5 hours redoing her thesis after recovering what I could. Since then our friendship grew to the point where we liked each other a lot. then life moves on and we eventually got married and had two misfits, ah children! :prey:

At the pub, I was full and Fiona gave me her phone number on a dollar note. My mate spent the money on a stubby that night (dollar night), lucky he has a good memory. That was 21 years ago, lucky for me that you could get a stubby and a bride for a dollar back then. :)

I noticed HRH Liz outside her place of employment, then spotted her again some time later at the supermarket. I asked a friend who worked at the same store to put in a good word for me, the rest is history. That was in 1987. Turned out she lived around 100 metres, as the crow flies, from my house. Small world....:D

I dont know what the "Other" Category is but it seems like a good way to meet a partner !
For me it was at a fundraising event I was doing, almost 20yrs ago !
How time flies when your having Kids, Morgage etc, etc ...

ballaratdragons
19-10-2005, 11:43 PM
Ian, my 'other' was the mobile phone SMS system. There wasn't any category for it, so it was the closest.

Now, was that a 'Fundraising' or 'Funraising' event! Answer carefully, she might read this!

That's the way Johnno! It works for me too!

Except last night when I came home she said "I went to your site and saw the poll you did about hogging the computer!".

She spent the rest of the night giving me **** with her friends on MSN messinger. I could hear them laughing over the internet...or maybe they where laughing because when one of her friends asked me if I was excited, I said "About the star party? yeah!". It turned out that she was asking if I was excited about them coming down to Melbourne...

Some days the universe just bats for the other side...

I met my wife at work and at the pub. We both worked there and she bought me a Golden Rough. What can I say? Don't under estimate the power of the Goldn Rough. She had me hooked from then on in. She is an early bird and I am a night owl but it seems to work ok for us as we have been married for 18 years now and have 3 teenage kids 2 dogs 2 cats and a telescope ;)
