They are in US$ price, add up the frieght charges and if they come in at under A$250.00, then you have a bargain in my honest opinion:)

I think thats a great deal, i've noticed that pretty much all astro products are cheaper to buy online from the states. Thats what i plan on doing with small accessories like eyepieces, filters etc as long as shipping prices are reasonable its a good way to make significant savings

Those might be rebadged GSO filters. Could be worth a call to the Australian GSO retailers (Bintel and Andrews, to name two) and see if they can supply those filter sets and at what price. Polarising and OIII would be useful, perhaps the UHC - depending on how they perform, of course. I think you might be best buying better quality, one at a time, as you become sure that you will use them. If one or two in this set get little use, the price averaged over the ones you do use might not be that much of a bargain.

Here is some discussion on them http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3211988/Main/3180634

Considering a quality OIII filter alone is over US$100, its seems a bit dodgy, and as Eric says, you probably wont use 2 of them......

Telescopes.com will not ship these to Australia. This maybe because there is an Australian dealer. This is not uncommon.

Anyway, at current exchange rates: this is $130 off the shelf in the US, so to add shipping even if they did ship here.

Another reason to buy local

I agree with Eric, they probably came out of the same factory.
