To help avoid vignetting when imaging, am I better off keeping the images all the same duration?
Does this in fact have any impact on vignetting?
I am using a 1000D with an ED127 and a 2" connector.
What is the best process for the flattening of images to reduce vignetting?
Thanks

From my experience the length of time the exposure is has no bearing on the vignetting......having 2 inch accessories, as apposes to 1 1/4, would I think make more of an impact.

I was told that using a 2" adaptor would mean less vignetting.

Frank, the duration of exposure doesn't affect vignetting, you'll need to start taking flats and get a field flattener for your scope (and of course stick to 2" adapters).

Andrew,

I bought a 6.3 reducer flattener but when I put it in the chain I can't reach focus. I got a smaller adaptor but this didn't get me there either. So I haven't been able to use it.
