Gees Pat, I live a couple of k's from the Ballarat Observatory, and didn't even know it was happening. :ashamed::ashamed:

But I have been a member there once back in the 80's, but that is an other story, :whistle: might just make the effort. :thumbsup:

I'm in Brisbane. Going to Melb the week after I would have made the visit longer if I could convince "She who has no Astronomical Interest" to go.
Instead we attend the Lions vs Richmond AFL match at the MCG a week later. ;):rolleyes::whistle:

The single main reason for the trek to where "Brass Monkeys" are extinct is for my Lady to see her first match at the Melb Cricket Ground. MCG.

And of-course to partake in some of the aged grape nectar just to the north. ie Rutherglen.

Maybe another time, Paddy;):)
