Why google chrome?

Before I go and download yet another application on my overlaoded PC, what advantage or why would google crome be any better?

1) Screen space - more room for web pages and not cluttered with browser stuff.
2) It's fast - faster than anything else out there.
3) It's easy to use
4) Beautiful tab implementation (drag/drop, drag to new window etc).

Everything Mike has said plus...

...if a website crashes for some reason it only kills the one tab, other tabs remain unaffected (they are distinct processes on the PC). I've had this happen twice, when a flash object in the website has crashed it.

I often get crashes in IE (more often than Chrome) and I always lose all my tabs and windows of IE.

Screen realestate and speed are my top reasons for using it most of the time.

Once you've used Chrome, IE seems so cluttered, ugly and overly complicated.

The "home" page is very cool too, and I use it all the time to visit my most frequently visited sites.

It gives you your 9 most frequently visited sites, and at a click you can also access "recently added favourites" and "recently closed tabs".

Also try Opera 9.5. I don't mind Chrome, but find myself using Opera more and more now. Apparent speed is dependent on too many factors to be able to say Chrome is faster than anything else. It renders reasonably quickly, as it should. It uses the same Webkit rendering engine that has been powering Apple's Safari browser for years now. Opera's feature list blows it away though - which is great if you're not looking for a real lightweight - which Chrome is.

Sounds like it's a cracker then! Thanks so much gents, I thought you blokes would be the best to ask. I will now go check it out and see how it runs.
