Howdy.
Went for a walk today and took my tripod and 40d with me, they were bored and wanted to come too!
Took a few shots with the intention of using them in Merge to HDR function in Photoshop CS2. I can get them to do it ok if I choose not to attempt to align images, but then of course, they are a bit off. When I choose to attempt to align, I get an error message saying that there is not enough storage space to complete the task, but I have a 1Terabyte drive, with 100Gb for Windows and three other partitions of approx 275Gb each.
Any ideas? I did set PS CS2 to use all available ram of 2Gb too!!
Thanks.

i dont know the software, but most imagine manipulation software, when working on raw data, needs huge amounts of room. its need the same space as the original, then the same space as the finished article, and space for "undo" if you reset changes you have made, probably a mixture of that, and maybe virtual memory and/or swapfile, that kind of thing

TheDecepticon,

Go into Photoshop's preferences and set one of your spare partitions (I'm assuming they've been assigned drive letters) as one of your scratch disks. With CS3, you can have multiple scratch disks. I think it's the same in CS2.

Restart Photoshop and try again.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Octane, that did make a difference to the Jpeg routine. Still wanna try with Tiff's, but they might be too big still.
Cheers and Clears.
