My son wants to take songs of some of his cd's and convert them to Mp3's to put onto his ipod. Is there a Shareware/Freeware program that someone knows of that can help him out with??
Try Apple iTunes - http://www.apple.com/itunes/
or
MusicMatch DukeBox. - http://www.musicmatch.com/

I'm no iPod guru, but I thought that iTunes could do this for you (which you need if you have an iPod anyway, so no additional downloads).
edit: the first suggestion from Rocket Boy is on the money.

I just tried his iTunes program and it will do the job that he wants. Kids, if only they try the software that comes with the package :poke: .Thanks for the input anyway.

Exact Audio Copy is good (and freeware), it will decript copy protected stuff as well, which I don't believe the others will. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
