I do not have a guide scope and I only have a cheap GEM with a RA motor.
Through my ED80 I can only track for about 30sec may be 45. Can I take a series of 30sec images and auto/manual align and stack them? Any software able to do that? I don't think PhotoShop can???:screwy:

Hi Vincent,

You can download this program called Deep Sky Stacker which will do exactly what you ask. You could probably also use Registax but DSS is much better for this task.

Here's the link,

Vincent,

If you are talking about images with stars in them, then deepskystacker is probably the go.

Registax may be able to do it... I've had mixed success. PS CS3 also should be able to do it (again I've had mixed success).

In PS CS3, choose Files, Scripts, Load Files Into Stack follow the prompts and select "Try to align content" of whatever the actual message is.
