Guys,
Some of you may have seen from a previous thread that my laptop was killed by a virus.
I am in the process of rebuilding it, and I can't find two disks of software that I need. One is for IC capture for the DMK, and the other is for the Epson Printer Software that came with my Epson C1100N Network Printer.
The printer sits on my network at 192.168.1.110, but I don't know how to connect to it without the Epson Printer Software. Can I? I am at the stage of writing to Epson to see if I can get another disk, as I haven't been able to find a download. Is there a way I can do this without the Epson software?
Thanks,
Al.

Hi Al
IC Capture and Drivers can be downloaded from here (http://www.astronomycameras.com/en/products/software/?sid=2c3604b5ccc731d551608fad0c5a39 1e)(I think?).
Cheers

Lyn found my IC Capture disk... it has IC Control on the front, so I thought there must be another disk...
I just put it in the PC to check... there's only one disk...... IC Capture is there:)... and the registration key on the disk is critical! It's only a trial version without it.
Still haven't found the Epson disk though...

This link has drivers (http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/category.asp?sCategory=Laser&id=alc1100&EmailAdd=&CanEmail=&SelOS=Y&MetricIDReturned=2688517&sCategory1=Laser)for the C1100, I suspect the same driver is used for both the C1100 and the C1100N models. This link has setup instructions (http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/message.asp?platform=all&techtips=techtips&EmailAdd=&MetricIDReturned=2688524&submit=Search+%3E%3E&sCategory=Laser&id=alc-1100N)on the C1100N. There are also some 64 bit Vista drivers (http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/product.asp?sCategory=Laser&id=alc-1100N&FileType=1&EmailAdd=&MetricIDReturned=2688540&platform=all)for the C1100N. This part of the US Site has EpsonNet config software (http://http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=48521&prodoid=50899005&infoType=Downloads&platform=All)

Thanks Phil. I thought there might be some clues in some of the documents there, but I couldn't the HTML documents to work... the first page comes up but none of the links work:rolleyes:.
But I've made use of the link to technical help at the bottom of the page and told them my problem:thumbsup:... we'll see if they can provide a link, or a new disk or instructions to get around it.
Thanks,
Al.

Al, I was able to view the HTML pages OK yesterday, I found the EpsonNet config stuff on the epson.com (North America/US) site by searching. Maybe the link I posted is cookie dependant and has timed out. Do a search for EpsonNet config download on the US site. I can get the page, it has the network configuration utility. A search for just EpsonNet config will get the how to.

Thanks for your help, Phil!
I'm definitely closer but haven't managed to complete the task.... There's something I'm still missing...
I downloaded the EpsonNet Config software, and a driver and it can see the printer... I still can't install it as a network printer on the lappy.... I'm hoping Epson support will come back with the silly little thing that I'm overlooking!:P:lol:

I got it!
The printer driver that I downloaded (thanks, Phil) wasn't installing properly... probably because I changed the directory for it to unzip into:rolleyes:... I let it completely do it's own thing tonight and viola!
The world is a good and wholesome place again (despite whatever I said:P)
:D
