Eyepiece terminology

I am getting a bit confused! :shrug:
I am sure that plossl is a type of ep design - so everyone makes plossl ep's.....
Is a nagler a design, or a brand??? so will different manufacturers make naglers, or just Mr Nagler???
what about radian etc etc....

I'm after some GREAT EP's soon, I hope I don't become annoying with Q's! :help:
