I've had my SPC900NC for a couple of days now and I've already had two bluescreens of death on two different computers - within seconds of unplugging the webcam (after closing the programs using it of course). The blue-screen message says "BAD_POOL_CALLER".

Can't figure out what the issue is. Latest webcam driver from the Philips website (I got the "27" version, not "37"), Windows XP on both machines, most stuff up to date. The machines are rock solid otherwise.

If it was just one computer crashing, I could have put it down as just a problem with just that PC hardware or bad combination of software/drivers, but the other machine (a Dell laptop) has very different hardware/drivers .. and suffers the same crash.

I was considering downgrading the Philips webcam drivers, but thought I'd ask if anyone has experienced this?

Thanks, :help:

I'm running the SPC900 under Vlounge 1.0.0.37 on both an Acer and Dell XPsp3 laptop.
No issues for me on these machines.
Last time I had a similar experience was with the Meade DSI... it would crash the machines everytime it was disconnected.
Never really found the root cause; something about USB stack interrupts, got rid of the camera instead!
