I'd have to say this my best Bird in Flight image so far. I wish I had a longer lens for this one but I'm happy with the results. :D

Canon 450D with 18-55mm lens @ 55mm.

Enjoy. :)

Nice pair of shots Matty! very sharp, and at only 55mm! :) well done mate!

As a stop-gap, go to cash converters or some place similar, and get a canon EF-S 90-300... they aren't lightning fast, or the best optically, but you may be able to snag yourself 300mm focal length for $50 - $100...

Thanks Alex,

That is actually a very good idea but I'm wanting to get a Canon 70-200mm F/4L as I know they are great performers.

Hi Matty, great shots, especially the first one. Nice composition, brings your eyes to the bird lauching itself out there and with a great sky. Well done:thumbsup:
