Stars are annoying, they just get in the way :D.

LOL, thanks Narayan, sigh, stars are sooo hard to preserve naturally, I thought maybe in this case, cloud structure was the focus, so out went the tricky little bright spots, but I get your drift.

Been back a few times to the original image. Nothing short of remarkable. The delicate folds and structure of nebulosity is inspiring. Similar to the comments in the previous post, this image captures the imagination and draws the viewer in. Excellent.:thumbsup:

Wow Fred, haven't seen that much detail in any M8 image before. The core " as I concider it " is always hard to capture without burnout .... I do like stars though. I haven't been online for a while and haven't seen your earlier version with stars yet ... will check it out.

The stars wernt that flash anyway, and at least this view is a little different.

A really stunning result Fred. Looks like its a Hubble shot with so much detail. Gee amatuer imaging has come a long way in such a short time. There would be no comparable image of M8 in the archives of these large observatories until recent times.

I'd submit this to the Nasa APOD site.
