Hi All, Bluescopes post prompted this question, but I didn't want to jump in there and hijack his thread;). I have Photoshop CS3 extended version, but it does not open my canon raw files .CR2 or 32bit FIT files (and possibly others). It "sees" them, but when I go to open it says ...
"could not complete your request because it's the wrong sort of document"
Any ideas... I don't want to lose the full bit range of my data just because of this.
cheers,
Bob

Photoshop will only read 16bit TIFF files at best.
There is a free 16bit FITS plugin :-

Just realised I'm running PS 6, I'm a little out of date :(

You can get a 40D raw plugin for photoshop - check the adobe site. I think it's called CameraRaw.

You can also get the NASA/ESA FITs liberator - free download.

Make sure you run downloads and updates too. With CS2 - it couldn't read Canon RAW files until downloaded and installed a 80mb update!

I don't thing Liberator will help though. CS2 yes, but not CS3. I normally have to convert my Fits to Tiffs, and then use then within CS3.
