Grettings all,

Just wondering what long exposure software, people are using with thier toucam and how to achieve good focus. I'm using k3ccdtools v3 and would like to try something else.

Cheers Peter

Hi Peter
Does it have to do long exposures?

I think "Desire" is a program Ken used to use for his long-exposure modded ToUcam. For focus, have you tried a hartman mask?

What are you taking photos of?

Thanks for the reply Mike, yes long exposure is a requirement I'm just starting out on this picture taking caper. The camera is a Atik 1C and my focusing is not real good at the moment, I will read up on the Hartman mask though. I mainly want to image DSO"s and the scope is a WO 66mm which will be turned into a guide scope shortly sitting on a Vixen GP2 mount which tracks great. I realise I will have to upgrade the camera later on, however at the moment I am quite inspired by Ken's (ballaratdragons) toucam efforts.

Cheers Peter

Peter you can get in contact with Ken (ballaratdragons) via the SVAA (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180227548464) website or one of the other forums he is an active member on.
