Flocking - De-lint 1st!

Just thought I'd state the obvious and encourage anyone considering flocking their scope to be sure to remove any loose particles with a lint brush or sticky tape BEFORE flocking.

Of course I decided to read the protostar flocking paper's PDF instructions after the job was done.

The result: Clearly better contrast, better images full stop. Oh and black dusty crap on the mirror after 20 mins!

If this saves 1 person from my experience - happy me.

On the positive side, black dusty crap is probably the least worrisome of anything that could be on your mirror ;)
