I have used PolarAlignMax briefly in the past to measure polar alignment error. It seemed to work OK once I worked out a problem with it using a crop of the image.
Now I'm trying it again and am having the problem that none of my plate solve's are working.
I've discovered that when in -ve declination the FITS file is getting the declination stored as "--09 58 53" (for example). You can see there are two "--" characters.
I'm waiting for night to test removing one of the -ve characters by editing the file header, see if that fixes the plate solve problem.
Previously I had only used it briefly, at +ve declinations. At +ve declinations only one "+" character is stored in the declination attribute of the header.
Anyone experienced a problem like this?
I have the latest versions of all applications involved (CCDSoft, TheSky, PolarAlignMax and ASCOM).
Thanks,
Roger.
