Found these on the Bintel website and noticed that they feature 70º apparent fields and cost only $130-160 each!!! Once bloody Big W sorts out my pay I think I might buy a couple (perhaps 15 + 26mm) for low-medium power deepsky viewing. 2" barrels should be great as my secondary mirror is more than large enough to fully illuminate the center of FOV (you can still see the whole primary mirror reflected in the secondary with the focuser fully racked out)

That is uber cheap for what look like quality eyepieces. How will they perform in my 10" f/5 dob?

the naglers and panoptics can wait till I graduate!

Please read previous posts in regards to those eyepieces.
Our own Ausastonomer does not have a very good opinion of them...
May I suggest a good second hand Panoptic or a Baader Hyperon or Orion Stratus.
I have made that mistake in the past, do not try to buy all your eyepieces at once - one a t a time and go for quality...

one guy on cloudynights claimed that in his f/5 system, the 15mm QX gave sharp images across only 50% of the FOV. Pretty bad IMO.

Orion Stratus it is.

Better to stick with the Stratus or Hyperions as mentioned IMO. They are readily available secondhand to help keep in budget.
I had a 26mm QX that come with my lightbridge and only used it once.

Will certainly stick to the stratus now. At $199 I could afford it if my stupid workplace finally pay me for 6 unpaid shifts which I've been chasing for 3 weeks now :mad2:

btw, why would they call the eyepiece "stratus"? I don't want to be reminded of Melbourne's lame climate everytime I use it!

Yeah another against the QX, I brought one once from Bintel took it back the next day and swapped it for a Stratus, the Orion is a nice EP for the money.
