may be out again soon when this weather clears so i was wondrering what is a nice target to image through an st80 refractor/300d that will fill the image with detail of maybee a nebula and stars.really want to set up the scope and really have a good bash at some long exposures but as you cant see what you are imaging i dont want to be wasting time imaging empty space.
i am in the northern hemisphere and the 300d is not modded for ha. so i may be limited:shrug:
thanks colin

Hi Colin

You should take some test exposures, say 1 min at ISO1600 to see what you've framed, whether your focus is correct etc.

cheers mike i will try that , if imaging with the st80 is it better to get rid of the diagonal before i attach the 300d dslr or would you leave it in place?
thanks for the advice:)
