I guess this could be good for those with completely automated scope setups etc, and can sit inside while the scope does its stuff outside..

Wow. Imaging out of the cold. That would be nice ;)

I use a 4.5m long 6 pin to 6 pin cable at the moment. In the cold it behaves not unlike an unruly coiled spring, but my ingenious cable routing skills and the sheer grunt of the EM200 can handle the springiness of the coiled cable.
