There have been quite a few excellent images posted of this intriguing object.

I took this image quite some time ago from my home observatory. Good seeing as it is usually around here (south coast NSW).

4 hours 45 minutes Ha RGB image. AstroPhysics RHA 305 F3.8 astrograph and QHY600m.

Your approach really emphasises the Ha that is abundant throughout this region :thumbsup:

Yes the Ha subs showed a lot of general nebula. F3.8 and 305mm aperture helps too.

Thanks Dave. It surprises me how much Ha nebula there is in the Milky Way.
