Can one change the setting sof a photo after it is taken

Hi guys this may seem strange but when i was in Darwin I did capture a ripper across the city.

At night I usually shoot at F/11, 200 ISO and manually for 1 second, however on this occasion i forgot to dial it back from F5.6 and although it is visible it has just blown out.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So using adobe is it possible to darken it and just fix it a bit.

Some advice would be most helpful if at all possible.:shrug:

Well, sort of…:)

The foreground is yours, lightened using Shadows/Highlights in PS CC but the background was produced by PS.

There is an AI function in PS CC where you can type in, say, “forked lighting against a backdrop of high rise” and it will generate an image for you, which I did.

I then combined the lightning BG with your FG and then used ON1 Re-size to upsample the image to 1280x960.

It sounds complicated, but by using the Plug-ins it just took a few mouse clicks.:)

I use the subscription version of Photoshop CC and Adobe seem to implement new functions and capabilities on a regular basis. Some are useful to me, others not so much.

I also have the ON1 and Topaz Lab Plug-Ins which are a bit like automated "recipes" that plug into PS CC, which you can then invoke to process your original image to one of their "standard recipes". You can adjust each "recipe" to taste or just discard if not suitable.

I only use a fraction of the capability, just so I can enjoy the hobby at my level. A lot of the more advanced features I have yet to explore, on a as-needed basis.
