Hi All

I have seen a lot talked about the Leica Zoom which gets rave reviews but at a serious cost!

I have seen the Zeiss on sale at the moment. Considering I'm building an EP collection for a 76DCU, this may be an ideal piece that replaces multiple single focal ones. Anyone has local experience and whether it's actually good value at 800AUD?

Many thanks

I answered my own question. The new Harpia eyepiece is not a zoom one. Zoom is built into the scope. APM makes an adaptor that fits the Leica and Zeiss which uses plastic grub screws.

Zeiss has an excellent Zoom for their high-end spotting scopes, with a 3.5:1 magnification range.
Unfortunately, the telescope adapter that Zeiss used to sell for their zoom eyepieces is no longer available, so the zoom is not usable in a telescope unless you machine an adapter for it.

I have been investigating this and it seems the new Zeiss "Zoom" is not a zoom actually. The zoom is built into the scope.

The older ones you mentioned were Zoom, comparable to the Leica.

I sold the eyepieces separately.
Zeiss called it 20-75x.
And there was an adapter for it that I sold many of.

This was the eyepiece.
