How do I determine the coordinates of an object in an image I have taken

So suppose I was imaging and spotted something of interest in my final image. Say a bright spot that could be a supernova. ( I haven’t this is just theoretical)

How can I determine the coordinates of the object???

Is there a program that plate solves an image and then gives accurate RA and Dec for the cursor position anywhere in that plate solved image?

I use The Sky X Pro to open a FITS file and do a "Blind Solve" if I do not know the image scale (arcsec/pixel) or perform an Image Link if I know the scale and can type in that value.

TSX will then overlay the solved FITs file over The Sky X Chart.

For free, and usually very reliable, you can also upload a file to Astrometry.net and that should work.
