Just downloaded this and tried it out on some of last night's images. Cuiv on YouTube has an article on it: https://tinyl.io/8dTR

Being just a happy snapper, I am quite impressed with its trouble-free mode of operation. It's also free (but Windows only) and works standalone on TIFF files, colour and B&W.

Not the standard of BXT, but pretty good for free and still in Beta! Stars look a bit fake, but I had previously shrunk them in APP and was too lazy to redo them.

Pics are before and after ngc5746 jpg's taken from processed TIFF out of APP. GSO 10cf newt, 294mc, 40x50s, no calibration frames. I would upload the TIFFs but they're 56MB and don't know if they'd shrink well for IIS.

Download it and try it out!

Left pic is original.

It may be an idea to remove the stars then use Astrosharp and process the stars separately before recombining I have seen videos where this tool does oversharpen the stars

Not cheap ( nothing is with AP) but I hear Pixinsight have some incredibly good tools to do such . Cheers

Hi Wes,

Starnetv2 is free to remove stars (win/mac/linux). https://www.starnetastro.com/download/
you can then blend stars back in quite easily in something like GIMP.

cheers
