Hi Guys i know you don't wont to hear from me about computers, but just one question please.
My CPU fan is running at 3700 plus RPM all the time, pretty fast as it used to slow down when sitting idle or not doing much.
The temp is 25 degrees and the machine is totally dust free, any suggestions please.
It also is a new build well under 12 months old.

Leon

Open Task Manager and sort the CPU column from high to low. Just take a quick look to see if there's a process that's consistently consuming most of your CPU. It might give you a place to start. A CPU temp of 25 degrees seems pretty low though, so you may not have a CPU hog on your hands anyway. Worth checking just in case.

Thanks Dean i went through the procedure you mentioned and it seems the culprit was the Spooler Sub Systen App that was causing it to run fast, and using a fair chunk of the CPU.

I stopped that and found that it disabled the printer, so turned it back on and now the fan is humming along as it should.

Why this happened is anyone's guess, thank you for your help.

All is well again
