Good morning to you all, just a question please about blending two images into one final result.

This is just a fun project as i am pretty bored today as I have been in Darwin for a Month and have not seen a decent strike of lightning.

Anyway I have two great photos that i would like to make into one, can someone suggest how to do this please, maybe :)

It is something to do and would make a great pretty picture, and both images are my own work so I am not pinching others stuff.

So if you can help could you please explain how to go about it in simple plain English as I am as Computer illiterate as Raymo just mentioned earlier when he lost his banking app :P

Thank You.

Leon:thumbsup:

And no funny computer jokes from you Andrew

I was thinking of you the other night Leon.
We had a massive lightning storm here, an amazing light show.
You would've got some great shots mate.

What Photo Editing SW do you have Leon?

E.g. do you have access to Photoshop?

Cheers

Hi Leon

The high level work flow would be something like:

Open both Photos in PS.
If you open them individually they will be two separate files.
If one photo is larger (e.g. 6000x4000 pixels versus 3840x2160 pixels) then Copy/Paste the lower resolution photo into the higher resolution photo.
This should now give you 2 Layers in PS.
You will then need to align the subject matter and use Layer Masks to Blend the two photos together.

This is a high level description and it assumes that you are familiar with the basic File operations in PS and also the use of Layer Masks.

If not you will have to Google something like "combining 2 photos in photoshop" and watch a couple of YouTube Videos to become familair with the process.

Or, you could send the photos to Andrew and he will do it for you.:);)

Cheers

Dennis
