National Geo Newtonian - EP's?

After a few years of peering through my 'scopes when he was nearby, a friend of mine sent me a text message to say he'd finally bought himself a 'scope - the National Geographic Newtonian (I know, I know...)


From the shots he's sent me, it looks very much like the 70/700, although I can't confirm that. I have some old EP's that may well be better than what has been supplied with the scope, but does the Nat. Geo. scope even have the capability to have different EP's? From the looks of it, it certainly should, but before I go over there with a couple of old EP's that can't be used, does anyone know anything about what EP's might fit? If Any??

I have looked through a Nat Geo scope, with the included eyepiece, absolute rubbish. I put one of my eyepieces in, and it became at least an acceptable scope.


Conditions were poor at the time, so just looking at a light across the valley in the distance.


I say take some eyepieces over and give it a go. Probably needs collimation as well.

Cheers. The need for collimation had crossed my mind. I'll grab a couple and wander over during the weekend. I'm assuming it will take a standard 1.25", yes?

Certainly the one I looked did. I would be surprised if any don't.
