Celestron handbox up date

Hi All I am trying to update my Celestron mount and hand controller ,I have down loaded the CFM software connected the PC to the hand controller and I get this message (CFM detected a serial ports on your PC but found no device attached to them).My computer only has usb type c ,have I got the wrong software ,

Your USB-C connection is fine. The USB connector in the handset actually connects inside the handset to a USB to serial converter, made by Prolific.

The problem probably is that you don't have a driver installed for it. To fix that, you can download a driver for its PL2303 chipset.
