Probably. Do you have a computer to check your emails rather than your phone?

On a computer you can easily see the sending address without clicking on anything. Don't touch anything suss on your phone!

The sender shows as:

support@mygov.com

The link to get the form:

https://niceshotd.blogspot.com/

Looks odd to me.

I would expect to get notifications through mygov login.

MyGov domain is ..gov.au not ..com ?????

Definitely a scam.
1. ATO/Medicare and I would expect Social Security all deposit tax refunds, medical rebates and social security pensions directly to your bank account providing you have a nominated bank account registered in MyGov. You don't have to do anything in MyGov except provide the bank account details.

2. You can log into MyGov independently and directly, not via the link they sent you and check if the account is there.

3. You should know if there is a refund owning after doing your taxes.

Defintely a scam you are not a "dear customer" and they would never provide a link for you to go to they will say to go to mygov site

Outstanding refund? So, they want to give you money yet its outstanding. Whoever wrote that hasn't the best knowledge of the English language as its an obvious contradiction in terms.
Simple Google comes up with https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/mygov-refund-email-scam

If you're ever unsure, navigate to the site (Mygov) yourself and login independently of the email. if there was a refund waiting for you, it would show up somewhere in there.

It's malicious.

MyGov will never, ever send an email with a link in it. Hell, they don't even send HTML mail.

It will be a flat-text message that say something along the lines of "There is a message in your MyGov account. Please log in to read it."

Definitely spam. From my interactions with MyGov:

1. MyGov is a .gov.au account.

2. You need to log in and be verified (sent an access code) before you can get at forms.

3. 'Refunds' are directly credited to your account and then they tell you.

4. Aust gov doesn't tell you it is AU $s... (what else would it be?)

Cheers,

Neville
