Free online file storage

Any suggestions/recommendations for free online file storage. Mainly for images and text.

Picasa Web Albums (https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?hl=en_US&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.goo gle.com%2F&service=lh2&passive=true) (by google) is a good free storage (1Gb I think) option for images. You will need to sign up for a free Gmail account first and download Picasa. Once you have joined you can easily upload using Picasa image browser, which will resize and scale your images for upload (leaving your originals untouched of course). Albums can be individually set to public or by invitation email only.

You end up with a .topcities.com domain name.
There are some limitations so have a look at what they're offering to see if it suits. I have had some problems:

Never managed to get FTP to work even though it should;
There's no help to resolve the above issue;
Group upload applet stopped working when I changed to Firefox so it was back to uploading one file at a time...:sadeyes:Even so it's better than Geocities/Yahoo that I once had a site with (until I hadn't changed the site for a couple of months so they wiped it!:mad2:)
