Snails pace browser

Hi guys yesterday my browser Microsoft Edge was lightning fast, today the Snails have taken over, the service is up to speed so what might be doing this please.:shrug:

Hey Leon,


First question is "What other programs are running?". Open up TaskManager and see if anything is chewing up RAM and/or CPU and see if you can kill it.


Easiest way to open TaskManager is to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and select 'Open Task Manager'. Make sure you pin it to the task bar so you can get to it quicker the next time you need it.


I'm not a Windows guru, so I'm not certain if TaskManager will let you see any threads or sub-processes running inside the parent Edge process. I have had cases where a browser's sub-process has been chewing CPU and I've had to kill it (without killing the browser) to calm things down.
