Good Morning folks;

I'm looking for thoughts and opinions on eyepieces. I have a Skywatcher Skymax 150 Mak-Cas that has a decent enough 28mm (2") eyepiece, but I'm looking to add an extra eyepiece or two.

The scope sits on a HEQ5 Dual mount, and is primarily for visual use, mostly the moon and planets (when it isn't raining... :rolleyes: )

Looking for thoughts on brands of some additional quality eyepieces that I might be able to use. Any information welcome.

Cheers!

My experience has been a binoviewer with just some decent plossl eyepiece pairs, will give you the most relaxing and detailed views of the moon and planets. PS. Don't forget to wrap your 150 mak with some insulation material.

This is what I did to mine. It will stabilise your scopes thermal condition to allow high power viewing straight away. No need to wait for your scope to cool.

Thanks mate. I'll look into those.

Nice thought about thermal stabilising too. I'll give that a try. :thumbsup:
