I've just changed to FC V2.7.0.5 to get the opportunity of better frame rates.
I can't seem to be able to set the Gain.
What am I missing????

Ken , did you completely remove the old version and settings files?.

Can you set gain using the dummy camera?, if you can it could be a driver issue or a dodgy USB cable.

That's all I could suggest.

Martin,
Yeah, I think all the settings were “Upgraded” to the V2.7
Do you use V2.7?
If so how do you adjust the gain setting?

With the gain slider. Unless I'm missing something
I'm using v2.7 as well,.

Ken I'm on 2.6 , I use the slider or for fine adjustment the little box with the arrows on the end.

I haven't tried 2.7 yet.

Marc,
The Gain slider works well in V2.6 but any slider input in V2.7 reverts to whatever the filter (in Camera Controls) has set for gain. i.e. if the filter has 500 for gain, trying to set the slider to 200 - it quickly moves to 500.
Checked both the ini files, but nothing about the gain settings.

I'll check it out. I have saved up profiles for each planet and filter so I rarely modify these anymore. Maybe you have an auto gain setup somewhere based on the value of other sliders.

Some (good?) news.
Uninstalled V2.7.0.5 and reinstalled V2.7.0.1
Managed to find a filter/ camera control setting that DID allow the gain to be changed.
Not sure when I'll get some sunshine to allow testing.

Ok.
Rafa on the Firecapture forum suggested I had ticked the auto Histogram, which links the gain setting to a nominated Histogram setting.
This was indeed the problem!
Well done Rafa, thanks for solving my problem.
