Hi Guys, just wondering.

If i were to take out the existing Hard Drive out of my Desktop which is currently running Win 8.1, then bought a new Hard Drive and installed it with Win 10, could i use either hard drive alternatively by swapping one for the other and sometimes use Win 8 and sometimes Win 10.

Just a question

Yes.
I have XP and w'7 on separate drives, and I can boot from either (via setup)

Hi Leon,

With Bojan's method, you leave both hard drives in your computer, both on all the time and when you boot your computer, you select which one you want to use. It's called dual booting. Look it up on the web for instructions on how to do it.

Cheers,
Damien.

I've been doing this for years since Win2000 not wanting to lose any programs not compatible with software upgrades . It's quite easy to set up and there are many online tutorials that will guide through the process.

I've always struggled with the win 8/10 operating systems and still running win 7 pro. My desktop pc and laptop will eventually need upgrading and I dread the thought of win 10 being the only way to go :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Yea Rocky, I'm with you mate, I have Win XP on my Lappy and Win 8.1 on the Desktop, both suit me very well with what I do.

It is not the only way to go. Look at Linux Mint, and that is Free.
