Just about to put the scope outside.

There's a nice high pressure system sitting right over us in the SE of Oz and the jetstream might behave itself come 3am tomorrow.

Think I'll take both guns out of their holsters tonight: the ToUcam and DMK.

Want to capture some of those new white spots which have appeared on Jupiter.

No GRS, but plenty of other features to whet the appetite

WAAA , it looked like a superb night tonight and I had to go to the inlaws for dinner and upgrade their computer, not fair.
Still my weather station is predicting the same again for sunday night so all is not lost yet.

Cheers

Not to worry.

The seeing was not the best

Was able to get out this morning, from 2:30am - 4:00am, before picking Rod up and taking him to (near) work.

Seeing was very good - perhaps not quite as good as my previous 2 great sessions, but certainly better than average. I haven't had any great GRS transit images this season yet - most of my sessions have had a setting or rising GRS but nothing at transit.

That changed this morning, I think/hope. Processing through PCFE now.. registax next :)

Was quite cold and very dewey, transparency dropped off as usual once the scope started pointing straight up. Losing so much light, I really need to get a better fan on the back that doesn't vibrate (so I can leave it on while imaging), or cut a hole in the side of the tube so I can stick a hairdryer in there and dry the mirror.

Here's a raw frame from the blue channel of the 3rd avi - ppmcentre ranked it the 2nd best frame from that set.
