TIFF vs FITT issues

this may be a basic question - but i changed my sharp cap settings on my ASI294 to 16 bit raw Tiffs and I can't seem to get any colour data from them-I only did it to save SDD space. Now I regret it. Are they redeemable or should I just chuck them and go back to Fitts?

I have never tried tiff output with my 294, do they need to be debayered like the fits does or is the native output in colour?

I suspect you lose some data as RAW files from digital cameras are ok as RAWs and also OK as DNG files but TIFF files lose some ability to process them like change the white balance etc.
