My Observatory

Hello
Thought I would post some pics of The Ormeau Hills Observatory.
I have a 6x6m shed with a mezzanine level inside. The mounts sits on this level and the control room is underneath it.
The Nexdome is fully automatic (rotation and shutter).
It works well for me and it is nice to have a permanent setup.

how do you cope with dust and pollution from diy etc

Great shed and observatory. Very efficient that automation allows that you can be on the slab below while your scope sits on the separate timber platform above. These days the electronics are cheaper than the steel and concrete.

It does work well as long as I don't bump the stairs or any part of the frame. Just a small tap and I watch my guide graph react! I was initially worried that vibration from the dome rotating as the mount tracks may cause a vibration but it is fine.
