Win10 update

I spent the past couple of days updating my operating system from Win7 to Win10. This took a long time but seems to have completed successfully.

I've done a clean install of all astronomy applications and successfully connected to most of my equipment so that's a big relief. The computer as an old Toshiba laptop that is still going strong so good to see it still works with Win10.

There was one issue that I'm having trouble with - my GPS device driver is not compatible with Win 10 and it looks like Prolific are not going to provide an updated driver for the PL2303 to prevent clone devices from working with Win10. I'm now on the lookout for a replacement USB GPS device.

Wondering if anyone has purchased one of these recently and have it working with Win10?

Hello Peter,

I have bought 2 of these, and have had no troubles. Whilst a driver is available, I found simpler success using the inbuilt Win10 driver, and treating it as a simple Serial device. EQ Mod, and APT connect to it without hesitation.
