Any thoughts on the TV DeLite eyepieces? I would be using in a 250mm f5 Newtonian.

Thanks

I have a 10” f5 dob and started with tv delites but sold them after a few months and decided to invest the extra money and upgrade to Delos
Delos have a 20mm eye relief ( great if you wear glasses for viewing and even better if you don’t ) plus a 72deg apparent field of view which provides the “wow” factor

Great all round eye pieces and worth the investment if you plan to stay in the hobby for the long term

I also have a few Panoptic for Star clusters and nebula etc and a few Ethos

Televue , definitely the rolls Royce of eye pieces

I had a few of the Delite eyepieces and used them in pairs in my binoscope and on their own. They are very sharp eyepieces which give a view like their wider and more expensive brother, Delos. They are par focal with 20mm of eye-relief. If 62º apparent field is enough for you then they are probably the best choice as they come in a lot of focal lengths.

They are as good as a Delos just 10º narrower....

If you can swing it, go for the Delos instead. The extra 10 degree AFOV is quite noticeable. I think the Delos is the best eyepiece TV have ever produced.

As an aside, I got to test the prototype Delites one night in Florida, just Al Nagler and I. That was a big thrill.
