Hi all

I currently image with two scopes and use Astroart 5 for stacking and processing. Does anyone use Registar? I find the concept of stacking together the images from different scopes interesting but was wondering if anyone out there had any experience in using it.

I must admit, processing/software side of astro is my weak point.

I have quite a small chip on my camera (ATIK 320E), so being able to mosaic is quite appealing.

Thoughts anyone?

Registar rules - it was (and I think still is) Avandonk's main s/w tool for his magnificent work.

I used it for couple of my mosaics, after couple of hickups, the results were excellent, the line between individual frames is not visible at all (use "calibration" tool!).

Yes Grant I use it for calibration.
Its an amazing tool for this and I prefer using it, especially if I mix files from different sources.
Admittedly it's been ages since I've done any imaging so as to use it.
I do have to go back to my notes though every time I go to use it since it's a little complicated for me but hey, I love the results it gives me.

Highly recommend.

Me too, it’s the only mosaic registration software I can trust 100%.
I have done several 6 panel NB mosaics using up to 6 filters, combining over 400subs and it just does it perfectly.
Mind you, it likes memory and HD space
