That's very good from the suburbs. Lots of detail.

Nice colour and resolution! I've always struggled with the colour balance with this galaxy but yours is good :D

Nice one Mark ...funnily enough NGC 253 was the subject (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/56900354/original) of one of my images on my first ever night of LRGB CCD imaging (manually changing filters!) using my 12" Meade SCT in 2003 from suburban Canberra skies.

Yours is much better

Mike

Absolutely, you seem to have the right approach, ie enthusiastic but don't take this pastime toooo seriously and you enjoy yourself, all ingredients to happy success free of anxiety...and aperture..?..mount..?...camera..umm m?...observatory...automation fever

Yeah you have to enjoy it and every time I take a pic it amazes me what we can do now from the comfort of your backyard. All the other stuff I've already got lol Although I am eyeing of a bigger mount to pile everything on together :D

That's quite a good 'early start' Mark. Detail and colour are both good.
Look forward to more.
