Anyone out there got any INFO or experience using a Gstar Ex CCD camera.The instructions you get are not the best . Tony.:lol:

Hi Tony,
Did you purchase the Gstar Ex from MyAstroShop? If you did, don't hesitate to email them and ask for help. You'll find their backup support very good.
The next camera I buy will be the Gstar Ex, so I'd be interested to follow your progress and experiences using it. Keep on posting. Good luck.

I'm thinking of getting one too, I was talking to Steve last week and he seems pretty generous with his time so either talk to him direct or email him plus there's a yahoo group for further info http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/gstar-users/

thank you for the info I got onto the gstar users and joined.I used it last night for the first time with a 120mm scope and got some good results using a 14inch tv.I still have a lot of things to learn about the camera.reguards Tony

thanks for the help.The camera is very good value for the money.I did get it from steve Massey.I belong to the CWAS astro group at Parkes NSW.Steve Massey and Steve Quirk have given talks there.The Knowledge these two Blokes have is Incredible.Joining this group has helped me alot in learning AM Astronomy.reguards Tony.

Igot in touch with steve quirk and he gave me info on setting up. the Gstar the images I'm getting now are excellant on a 14 inch tv screen . Tony:eyepop:
