OK, given up on Stellarium controlling my mount. So decided to go with CdC but I'm having a problem getting them to talk to each other..
Although the connect button goes green as soon as I attempt to slew it comes up with 'Error: Illegal operation while parked'.
Mount is not parked, it is in sidereal mode.

Technical information on the setup.
Skywatcher Synscan Pro EQ6 on 3.37
Connected via PCDirect mode through the handpiece. (I prefer to have the handpiece available for quick and dirty startups }
ASCOM 6.1.1.2627 installed.
Win 7 SP1 32 bit

Guiding is ST4 through a ZWO ASI 120mc camera but that is currently turned off. Tested as working earlier.

I have had it working previously on another computer but that died and this a almost identical replacement.

It's probably a setting I have never heard of or something. If anyone has any clues as to what the setup should be, mount control selection presumably or any other ideas let me know.

Haven't had the scope going for months, weather has been consistently overcast or windy but it's time to get it back online.

The hand controller set to "PC Direct"?
Did you select "EQMOD ASCOM EQ5/6" from the CdC telescope set up, then Properties followed by OK.
When you then press the connect button this should bring up the EQMod screen - you should see that Park Status shows "PARKED" - click to unpark and everything should be OK.

It was not an option. ASI ST4 and ZWO USBST4 were listed along with the usual POTH, Generic, Simulator options.
I was looking for Com port options as used previously but nothing there.
Must have another fiddle with it. Something is not quite right. But too knackered tonight, been a busy day.

:ashamed: OK, embarrassed.

I'd built the new PC ...loaded all the software ( so I thought ) but ..
Forgot all about EQMOD ...

Problem resolved, thanks Merlin for the subtle prompt.

But you didn't have to send all the clouds with it did you ?

Forced me to do some updates as well which is a good thing.

Cheers
Brent
